Here is the full teaser for Michael Jackson’s HIStory album. This was run in movie theatres before movie previews prior to the albums release.

Trivia: Families of the 40 passengers and crew members killed on United Flight 93 cooperated in the production, offering Greengrass detailed background about their loved ones, down to the clothes they wore, what reading materials or music they had with them and what sort of candy they might have snacked on aboard the plane.

Goofs: Factual errors: During the overview of the Newark airport in the beginning, an air-traffic controller can be seen wearing a blue lanyard displaying, “Transportation Security Administration” with an American flag displayed after “Transportation”. These were issued post-September 11, 2001 as the Transportation Security Administration was formed under the Aviation and Transportation Security Act, which was signed into law on November 19, 2001. Most 2001 roll-out supervisors at the TSA have these lanyards for airport identification cards. An ATC could own a lanyard as it is understandable that the lanyards would be distributed throughout the airport operations personnel.

Trivia: Many of the interior scenes were filmed at Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire. The bed used in the honeymoon scene was slept in by the real Queen Victoria when she visited the castle in 1843. The bedroom is so small that all the cameras had to be placed outside the windows.

Goofs: Factual errors: In the opening coronation sequence, the Archbishop of Canterbury anoints Victoria by dipping the two first fingers of his right hand into the chrism (holy oil). Anointings are always done using the thumb only.

Trivia: Despite knowing that the Vikings’ helmets didn’t historically have large animal horns on them, the film makers decided to add them in anyway. This would work with the modern audiences who have an ingrained stereotype of what a Viking should look like in their mind. Moreover, the horns make the Vikings look terrifying.

Goofs: Errors in geography: The avalanche footage is from a different mountain than the one the Vikings are traveling on.

Trivia: In an interview with Express Magazine on 24 July 2004, (”Keira Slays The Knights” by John Millar) Keira Knightley disclosed that her breasts were digitally enhanced on the American movie posters to make them appear larger.

Goofs: Anachronisms: In the last battle scene, the fortress is of the 3rd middle age style, dating it about 1000 years after the movie is set.

Trivia: Hans Zimmer was originally attached as the film’s composer but was replaced by Harry Gregson-Williams. A few weeks after this, the opposite occurred for another film: Zimmer replaced Gregson-Williams for the scoring duties of Madagascar (2005).

Goofs: Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Balian is building the timber water channel he places the lower level duct on top of the higher one. This should be the opposite way round as in its current state any water running down would run under the lower duct and consequently be lost.
